Hello,

As a past volunteer for the AF Canyon Run Against Cancer, we wanted to let you know the countdown for the upcoming 2016 race is on! The date for this year’s run is June 25, and there are currently only 116 days, 13 hours, and 29 minutes left! This means that the time to volunteer is already here! This year, we have a few exciting changes to be aware of. First of all, due to high demand, we have added a 10K run to the original 5K and half marathon races. Also, the race course has changed. The starting and ending location of the races will now be at Art Dye Park (1000 North 550 E Street, American Fork, UT).

If you are interested in volunteering again for this year's run, click here. We have lots of volunteering opportunities available and would love to enlist your help again! 

Here are stories from two women who have found their purpose in this run:

 "I want to run for my daughter Emily, who was diagnosed with All (leukemia) at age 5. She battled this disease for 15 years and passed away at age 19. She is the bravest person I know. She was never bitter about this trial she had to bare and was an inspiration to many people. She taught me how to do hard things."

 "I was diagnosed with cervical cancer when I was 32.  I found out that I was miraculously pregnant at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in pre-op. Our beautiful baby girl had held on through a procedure that  normally would have aborted a baby. She was delivered in February of 2015.  Today I'm running for myself because cancer didn't define, doesn't define me, and won't define me. I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter, physician assistant, friend and survivor!  I'm also a runner who never gave up on my sport even though sometimes the steps hurt, I put one foot in front of the other!"
