Excellent Pacing and Consistent Performance Jack Rousseau delivered a remarkable performance at the 2025 UW Medicine Seattle Half Marathon, completing the race with an impressive finishing time of 1:09:47 and an average pace of 5:19 min/mile. He maintained a notably consistent pace throughout the event, particularly admirably holding a sub-5:05 min/mile in the first two miles and showing a strong early rhythm. Noteworthy was his split at mile 6, clocking a significant 5:13, propelling him to second place at that point. Ultimately, Jack secured third place in the overall standings and his age division. Compared to last year's performance at the same race, where he finished with a time of 1:13:00, Jack improved his time by over three minutes. His pacing strategy was significantly more stable with splits like 5:19 and 5:26 in later miles showcasing a better endurance and strategic approach to maintaining speed. Working on mile 11, where he slowed to 6:08, could help in maintaining stronger final miles.
