Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish for a Podium Result Evan Molineux demonstrated impressive consistency in the 2025 UW Medicine Seattle Marathon, achieving a final time of 2:21:22. Notably, he maintained a steady 5:23 min/mile average pace over the 26.2-mile course. This reliable pacing saw him move up from an initial placement of 13th to securing 3rd place overall, a commendable achievement among 3,566 participants. Throughout the race, Evan consistently held the lead in his division (M30-34), indicating a strong performance relative to his peers. Exploring Evan's split times, mile 16 was particularly quick with a pace of 4:41 min/mile, showcasing a capacity for acceleration when needed. Although some splits were slightly slower, such as 5:37 min/mile in mile 25, the overall pacing strategy was effective. As his coach, I'd recommend reviewing pacing strategies for late-race miles to ensure energy is optimized.
