Consistent Pacing with Strategic Finish Daryn maintained a solid performance throughout the race, completing the marathon in 2:35:06 with a consistent average pace of 5:55 min/mile. A key highlight was the early fast pace set in the first mile at 5:25 min/mile, placing him 14th overall right from the start. Daryn consistently hovered between 12th and 15th overall, showing endurance and steady pacing throughout the race. Notably, his split pace saw improvements in miles 13 and 18, where he hit 5:46 and 5:29 min/mile, respectively. Towards the final stretches, his splits slightly slowed, culminating in a 7:00 min/mile pace in the last mile. Despite this, Daryn impressively finished in the top third of his division (M25-29), securing 6th place, and 14th place in both overall and gender categories. Maintaining a consistent pace while strategizing speed changes can further optimize his performance.
