Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Sara Chilcutt delivered a consistent performance at the 2025 Whidbey Island 10K. With a total elapsed time of 49:52, she maintained an impressive average pace of 8:02 min/mile. Notably strong in her division, she secured the 1st place in the F40-44 category. Sara's pacing demonstrated her ability to sustain effort, particularly noticeable in the second half of the race where she cut her initial 8:57 split down to an impressive 7:35 by the final mile. Throughout the race, her position remained competitive, with her placing 5th in her gender category and 18th overall out of 337 participants. Although her pace slightly decreased during the third mile, Sara showed resilience by picking it up in the subsequent miles.
