Consistent Pacing Secures Strong Finish Cameron Sun delivered a remarkable performance in the 2025 Whidbey Island Half Marathon. Maintaining an average pace of 6:18 min/mile, Cameron secured an impressive finishing time of 1:22:33. Throughout the 13.1 miles, he consistently ranked high, achieving 3rd place overall, and 3rd in his gender category among 612 participants. Notably, Cameron excelled in the age division M25-29, taking the top spot in several splits. The race analysis highlights a steady pace with a strong finish. After a disciplined start with splits ranging between 6:15 and 6:41 min/mile, Cameron managed to increase his speed towards the end. The most rapid split occurred during the 12th mile at 5:41 min/mile. A potential area for further development could be maintaining the rapid finishing speed throughout additional segments of the race to improve endurance and overall time. Excellent effort with plenty of positives to build upon!
