Steady Performance with a Strong Finish Freddy Avis maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2025 Whidbey Island Half Marathon. Starting with a 6:36 min/mile split, Freddy showcased a strong opening mile. As the race progressed, he managed to keep his pace within a few seconds per mile, maintaining splits mostly in the 6:34 to 7:10 min/mile range. His strongest mile came at split 12 where he clocked a 6:03 min/mile pace, showing his ability to push hard toward the finish. Ending with a total time of 1:27:03 and an average pace of 6:38 min/mile, Freddy secured 8th place overall out of 612 participants, notably finishing 3rd in his division. With a noticeable improvement in the later stages, where he ran three of the faster miles between splits 11 and 13, concentrating on mid-race pace consistency could enhance future performances further.
