Consistent Pace and Strong Finish in 5K Abby Moulton delivered a commendable performance at the 2025 Whidbey Island 5K. At age 22, Abby maintained a consistent pace overall, clocking in at an average pace of 8:20 min/mile. Her race started strong with a 7th place in her gender and achieved 2nd place in the Female 20-24 division, completing the course in 25:50. Abby demonstrates strategic race pacing, indicated by her splits. She began with an 8:07 min/mile pace, adjusted to 9:04, and strategically accelerated to 7:54 in the final stretch. Her ability to effectively pick up speed at the end secured her an improved gender position, finishing 6th among women. Abby should consider maintaining an even pace throughout the middle section to further enhance her performances in future races.
