Consistent Pacing with Division Success Howard Moyes maintained a remarkably consistent pace throughout the 2025 Visit Casper Marathon, achieving a final time of 3:53:34 with an average pace of 8:54 min/mile. Howard's pacing during the first half was notably steady, with early miles consistently hitting around a 7:56 min/mile pace. He demonstrated a great deal of endurance by keeping close to his early pacing, only gradually allowing his pace to shift to the 8:30 min/mile range in the latter portions of the race. An impressive aspect of Howard's performance was his success in his division, M60-69, where he secured 2nd place. This highlights his competitive edge within his age group. While he showed strong consistency, splits near the end, particularly the 24th and 25th miles, reflect some deceleration, with paces slowing slightly above 10:00 min/mile. Continuing to focus on maintaining pace, especially in the latter miles, could support even stronger finishes in future races.
