Dominant Division Performance with Strategic Pacing Katy held a consistent strategy in her marathon performance with an average pace of 8:34 min/mile over 26.2 miles, completing the 2025 Visit Casper Marathon in 3:44:34. She secured 1st place in her F30-39 division, and successfully maintained a strong overall pace, achieving 2nd place within her gender category. Notably, Katy started with a strong pace of 8:16 min/mile and managed to accelerate to 7:42 min/mile by mile 7. While Katy led in her category, her pace fluctuated in the second half, from a quick 7:54 min/mile at mile 16 to a slower 9:57 min/mile by mile 23. Focusing on maintaining speed during the latter miles could enhance future performances. Her ability to regain some momentum with an 8:28 min/mile in the final stretch is commendable, demonstrating stamina and focus. Maintaining consistent energy leads to stronger finishes, which she showed potential for in her final miles.
