Consistent Start with a Strong Finish in the Marathon Miguel Gonzalez executed a steady marathon performance, maintaining a consistent pace throughout most of the race. In the first half, he effectively kept splits primarily around the 7:37-7:45 min/mile range, even improving to 7:24 in the 13th mile. This strategic pacing enabled Miguel to secure 3rd place in his M30-39 division early on. His ability to adjust and find his rhythm, especially between miles 4 and 10, was impressive. Towards the latter stages of the marathon, Miguel's pace began to drop slightly, settling between 8:16 and 10:02 min/mile. Nevertheless, he held his ground in 9th place overall and within his gender category by the end of the marathon. To improve race times, consider incorporating more endurance-focused runs in training adaptations to sustain the pace seen in the earlier stages. Overall, the race showcased both strength and areas to build upon for future competitions.
