Consistent Pacing with Notable Divisional Performance Mark Gurney demonstrated a consistent effort at the 2025 Visit Casper Marathon 10K event, sustaining an average pace that fluctuated minimally from 8:54 to 9:45 min/mile across his splits. His overall elapsed time was 58:05 for the 6.32-mile course, achieving a final pace of 9:11 min/mile. Notably, Mark maintained first place in the M60-69 division, an excellent accomplishment highlighting his competitive edge within his age group. To further refine performance, consistent pacing in the second and third miles would enhance the overall strategy. A slight decrease in split times was observed, particularly in the third mile. Incremental pace maintenance could help maintain momentum through the later stages. Despite this, Mark’s disciplined pacing in the closing miles, especially picking up speed in the final mile, was a highlight of his performance. Maintaining focus on splits can continue to yield strong performances in future races.
