Stellar Progress and Dominance in Division! Josef Sokol demonstrated notable progress in the 2025 Seattle Marathon's Half Marathon event, finishing with a time of 1:25:33. His average pace was an impressive 6:31 min/mile, showing a significant improvement from his previous performance of 7:19 min/mile in 2024. Josef captured the top position in the M40-49 division, effectively moving up from 5th place last year. His consistent pacing and strategic increase in pace in the final mile, where he clocked his fastest split at 6:08, contributed to securing 14th place overall in a field of 1,697 participants. Throughout the race, Josef maintained strong placements, consistently holding the leading position within his division after the fourth mile. In contrast to previous performances, he stayed in the top 20 throughout the race.
