Owen began the race with energetic splits, maintaining a notable pace of around 5:07 to 5:14 per mile for the first three miles and solidifying his position as a frontrunner. Even as the race progressed, he retained a consistent pace, never straying far beyond 5:16 per mile, showcasing his endurance. Notably, Owen made a strong finish with a remarkable split of 4:45 in the final mile, clearly demonstrating his stamina and capability to conserve energy for a finishing surge.
