Date: Sept. 21, 2025 Participant: Grant Parks #235 Race: 2025 Pikes Peak Marathon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles Weather: Nice running temperatures. A large snow/hail/rain storm in the late afternoon. Overall it was a great day for a trail run.

Top-25 Finish, Division Runner-Up, Powerful Descent Finish 4:49:59 for 26.29 mi (11:01/mi). Summit reached in 3:06:35 at mile 13.36 (14,062 ft); descent in 1:43:24. Places: 22 of 918 overall, 2nd O30-34. Position gains were steady: Ruxton 48, A-Frame 32, Summit 24, finish 22. Late downhill speed stood out with 6:21 pace over 1.86 mi, 6:56 over 1.97 mi, and a 6:22 final 0.80. Above tree line, splits eased from A-Frame to the summit to 13:16, 17:47, and 18:19. Continued focus on efficiency between miles 10-13 could unlock more time while maintaining the strong, controlled descent.
