Date: Sept. 21, 2025 Participant: Peter Harrison #208 Race: 2025 Pikes Peak Marathon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles Weather: Nice running temperatures. A large snow/hail/rain storm in the late afternoon. Overall it was a great day for a trail run.

Top-15 Overall, 2nd O20-24, 171-place Climb 4:40:28 for 26.29 miles (10:40/mile). Summit at 2:51:00 (mile 13.36, 14062 ft); ascent 12:48/mile, descent 8:28/mile. Moved from 177th at start to 6th at summit, peaked 5th just after the turn, finished 14th of 918 (12th gender), 2nd O20-24. Led O20-24 from mile 8.77 to 23.52. Final 2.5 miles to the summit ranged 13:56 to 19:00 pace. Best downhill segments: 1.86 miles at 6:12/mile (18.81 to 20.67), closing 0.80 at 7:13/mile. To finish even higher, refine technical descending after Barr Camp; positions shifted from 8th at 20.67 to 14th at the line.
