Steady Improvement in Pacing and Position Ron Stivers demonstrated remarkable progress in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, clocking an improved overall time of 5:52:21 compared to last year's 6:16:21. His overall ranking improved from 1442 to 1384 among a field of 2049 participants. Notably, his division placement showed progress, finishing 25th this year compared to 27th the previous year. The impressive improvement in Elapsed Pace from 28:10 min/mile to 26:22 min/mile revealed his determination. A detailed examination of the splits reveals noteworthy aspects of Ron's race. He showed consistency, managing a steady pace, especially early on, with a split pace of 11:29 min/mile at Ruxton. As anticipated, the pace declined notably from Barr Camp onwards, reflecting increased altitude challenges resulting in a final split at the Finish of 40:52 min/mile.
