Strong Climb and Consistent Performance Cheri Neset, a 46-year-old from Colorado Springs, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 5:24:10, covering a distance of 13.36 miles with an average pace of 24:15 min/mile. She placed 1202 overall, 384 in the female category, and 55 in the F45-49 division among 2049 participants. Cheri showed a strong initial pace at Ruxton with 11:47 min/mile before moving into a progressively challenging elevation. Her performance improved significantly after Barr Camp, rising from 1447th place to finish 1202nd, indicating a well-managed pace adjustment and effort. Cheri's pace adjustment from 19:54 min/mile at Barr Camp to the final uphill stretch of 34:46 min/mile was noteworthy. Targeting splits post-Bottomless Pit could streamline consistent traversal of high-altitude sections and improve future positioning.
