Consistent Start, Strong Finish at High Elevation Jack Chambers, age 26, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 3:11:10 over a 13.36-mile course. Starting strong, Jack placed 11th overall at the Ruxton split with an impressive 5:48 pace per mile. His overall position fluctuated, initially ranking 25th at Hydro Street, then holding steady around 50th place through the Top of W's and No Name Creek checkpoints. Despite encountering more challenging sections in the latter half, Jack maintained a commendable consistency. The altitude increase to 14,061 feet at the finish line posed a significant challenge, yet Jack completed the last mile with a split pace of 20:57, a notable improvement from earlier splits of 22:00 and 21:56. His resilience earned him a final placement of 80th overall among 2,049 participants. Moving forward, focusing on maintaining mid-race pacing could enhance performance, especially in sections with variable elevation changes.
