Consistent Climb and Strong Finish Dan Meleason completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:35:22, maintaining an overall pace of 20:36 min/mile. Starting in 1275th position overall, he improved significantly over the initial segments, reaching 921st by the first checkpoint at Ruxton. Notably, despite the altitude challenges, he steadily advanced to 652nd place near the end, showcasing resilience in the high-altitude conditions. Dan's performance showed a consistent pace in various segments, particularly at "Top of W's" and "No Name Creek", hitting paces of 18:31 and 18:29 respectively. While the pace decreased to 32:15 min/mile at the finish, the efforts in the high altitude sections, particularly from "1.5 Miles To Go" to "Finish", are commendable. Dan placed 64th in the O45-49 division out of a total of 2049 participants, highlighting a solid effort in a competitive field.
