Strong Start, Steady Finish Jeff Harvey completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon with an elapsed time of 4:10:12, covering 13.36 miles with an overall pace of 18:43 min/mile at elevations starting from 6,303 feet to 14,061 feet. Finishing 36th in the 45-49 age group shows commendable consistency, given the challenging final miles above the tree line. Notably, his early race performance was strong, moving from 74th to 33rd place in the division by the 3.2-mile mark. His split times demonstrate a solid start with a 9:21 min/mile pace in the first 0.43 miles, gradually accommodating the steeper and thinner-aired environment. Harvey maintained positive momentum throughout, with critical placement improvement as seen at the "1.5 Miles To Go" marker where he briefly surged to 17th place in his division.
