Consistent effort underscores a resilient ascent Jeremy Stauceanu completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 5:13:13, covering the challenging 13.36-mile course at an average pace of 23:26 minutes per mile. Beginning strong, Jeremy clocked a brisk 8:56 pace on the initial 0.43-mile segment. His pace slowed as the course climbed, particularly from the 8.77-mile mark at Bottomless Pit, where the altitude may have contributed to a slower segment pace of 38:46 minutes per mile. Compared to his 2024 Pikes Peak Ascent performance, Jeremy's time increased by 30 minutes. This year's race exhibited a steady deceleration after Barr Camp, located 7.91 miles in, up to the finish. Efficient pacing management was maintained through the initial segments up to A-Frame at 10.29 miles, before facing the altitude-intensive final three miles. The race exemplifies the incredible endurance and resilience required for such high-altitude running, with Jeremy demonstrating significant perseverance throughout. Encouragement to focus on progressive inclines may enhance performance in future races.
