Steady Climb with Consistent Effort Janelle Hutchison completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 5:33:16, covering 13.36 miles with an average pace of 24:56 minutes per mile. Starting strong at Ruxton with a pace of 10:06 min/mile, she progressed to Hydro Street at 13:35 min/mile, maintaining her pace well in the early parts. By Barr Camp, her pace improved impressively to 15:44 min/mile despite the rising elevation of 10,250 feet. However, at Bottomless Pit, the pacing slowed considerably to 42:36 min/mile, reflecting the increasing elevation challenges. During the last three miles above the tree line, Janelle demonstrated resilience. From A-Frame onward, she maintained her position among participants, showing consistent effort despite fatigue and steep elevation. Her final stretch from 0.5 Miles To Go maintained a steady pace of 32:34 min/mile, culminating in a completion at 14,061 feet and placing 60th in her division. Overall, her performance illustrates a commendable endurance with room to optimize pacing in challenging segments.
