Consistent Performance Amidst Elevation Challenge Allison Dodge, aged 62, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 6:13:53. Covering a difficult 13.36-mile distance, her overall pace was consistently maintained at 27:59 min/mile, despite the increasing altitude and challenging conditions. The course featured a climb from 6303 feet at the start to 14061 feet at the finish. Particularly significant were her splits at higher elevations, notably at "2 Miles To Go" with a pace of 38:50 min/mile, which transitioned smoothly to 42:57 min/mile nearing the finish. On the journey, Allison ascended notable elevations from the start, with varied placements as she progressed. She achieved her best category placement at the "1 Mile To Go" mark, reaching 22nd in her division. This demonstrates her strength at high altitudes. Her placing fluctuated but remained strong, ending 24th in her division (F60-64). Continued focus during training on elevation-adjusted pacing could refine her overall race time.
