Steady Progression with High Altitude Challenges Anthony Montoya tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with precision and determination, clocking an elapsed time of 6:43:43 over the 13.36-mile course. Starting at an elevation of 6303 feet, Anthony quickly found his rhythm with an impressive 9:32 pace for the first 0.43 miles. During the initial stages, his transitions were smooth, noticeably maintaining a sub-15 pace through Hydro Street. As Anthony ascended higher, particularly past 10,000 feet, his pace understandably slowed, reaching a 56:40 pace towards the final 0.5-mile stretch. His strategic focus translated into a climb up the ranks, improving his placement to 149th in his division at the 1 Mile To Go mark. Despite facing a steep altitude challenge, Anthony's perseverance ensured a strong finish, maintaining consistent movement through the demanding final mile. With a total participants pool of 2049, his effort and commitment at high altitudes were commendable.
