Consistent Improvement and Determination Shine Through Taylor Patterson completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 4:49:24, demonstrating a remarkable improvement from their previous year’s time of 4:59:55. The performance reflects a gain in pace as well, going from 22:26 min/mile in 2024 to 21:39 min/mile in 2025. Notably, Taylor's strong start at the Ruxton split, clocking in at 8:46 min/mile, set the tone for early success, ascending from 1658th place at the Start to 474th at Ruxton. Maintaining consistency throughout the race proved beneficial, as was evident with solid placements such as 735th overall at No Name Creek and finishing 865th. The overall tempo slightly decreased in the steepest segments, with split paces like 31:52 min/mile during the final stretch to the Finish. Encouragement lies in the improvement made year over year.
