Consistent Performance with Strong Top Division Finish Jim Lee from Littleton, CO, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon in 4:08:55, covering a distance of 13.36 miles with an average pace of 18:37 min/mile. Despite encountering the challenges of a steep ascent to 14,000 feet, Jim managed a solid finish, securing 11th place in the O55-59 division, out of 2049 total participants. His starting pace was commendable, moving up from a start position of 1503 to 550 at the Ruxton split, with a split pace of 8:58 min/mile. Compared to his 2024 performance, Jim added approximately six minutes to his completion time but maintained his 11th division position. His consistent ranking from the Top of W's to the finish indicates steady performance through the varied elevation. The steep splits above 12,000 feet showed expected slowing, reaching a 26:49 min/mile pace. Continuing to focus on split improvements above the treeline could enhance future results.
