Consistent Effort and Strength Lori Dravecky, at 62, completed the challenging 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 5:30:23 with an overall pace of 24:43 min/mile. She faced steep elevation changes from a 6,303-foot start to a finish at 14,061 feet. Lori performed well in her F60-64 division, securing the 17th position out of several participants. Her placements across the course showed consistency, managing to retain her division rank despite the rigorous climb. In the initial split, Lori started strong, but encountered a more demanding pace as she climbed. The segment between "7.8 Summit" to "Finish" reflected her perseverance at the high altitudes, adjusting her pace to navigate the increasing difficulty. Notably, she improved her overall position from 1169 at "0.5 Miles To Go" to 1237 at the finish line. For future races, focusing on pacing strategies during high-altitude segments could enhance her performance further. Well done, Lori, on a remarkable achievement!
