Impressive Persistence Uphill Michael Coull's time of 6:13:57 in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent exemplifies incredible perseverance over a tough 13.36-mile course. His initial pace of 12:32 at Ruxton gradually slowed to adapt to the demanding climb, finishing at a 37:44 pace at the summit. Starting at an elevation of about 6300 feet, he managed to reach an altitude of 14,061 feet. Notably, Michael moved up to 849th place overall at 1.5 miles to go but ultimately finished 1529th, suggesting a challenging close to the race. Michael's performance can be analyzed for strategic improvements with regard to pacing, particularly in the latter stages above the tree line. Despite the deceleration, he maintained strong placement in his division, finishing 158th out of participants aged 35-39.
