Steady Improvement on the Challenging Pikes Peak Ascent Andrew Glass improved his performance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon, completing the course in 3:55:30. This marks an improvement from his previous year’s time of 4:02:54. His average pace at 17:37 min/mile showed progress compared to 18:10 min/mile last year, highlighting a positive trajectory in his performance. Analyzing splits, Andrew displayed remarkable consistency despite challenging elevations. He began the race strong with an 8:10 pace in the first 0.43 miles. Notably, in the middle segment from “No Name Creek” to “7.8 Summit,” his pace was strong at an average of just over 15 min/mile. The elevation and fatigue naturally slowed his pace during the final miles above the treeline, with a 24:43 pace nearing the finish. Positional improvements throughout the race indicate potential for even better outcomes with strategic pacing adjustments in high-altitude sections.
