Steady Ascent Marked by Stamina and Determination Parker Jackson completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 3:54:49, averaging a pace of 17:34 minutes per mile. Starting at 6303 feet, Parker paced well in the initial segments, reaching 7935 feet by 41:17. By 1:47:59, Parker gained momentum reaching Barr Camp at 10250 feet. Notably, the pace improved between No Name Creek and Barr Camp, averaging 13:48 minutes per mile, a strong performance in mid-race miles. In the final challenging uphill section above the tree line, Parker's pace understandably slowed. The transition from the A-Frame at 11934 feet marked a steady decline in speed, with the final mile split recorded at a 28:41 pace. Preserving consistent effort at high altitudes showcases Parker's resilience. By finishing in the top quartile of participants in the Open division, clocking in 49th out of 56 in the O30-34 division, there seems to be potential for small gains on steep sections above 12,000 feet for future races.
