Steady Ascent with Strong Finish Climb Ken Sebok, age 54 from Jensen Beach, FL, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:04:02 and a pace of 18:16 min/mile. Starting at an elevation of 6303 feet, Ken advanced from an initial place of 1475 to finish 391st among 2049 participants. Notably, Ken maintained his position consistently within the top 20 for his division, reflecting impressive endurance in this high-altitude challenge. The splits show a consistent performance despite increasing ascent difficulty. Particularly commendable is the switch in positions around the "1.5 Miles To Go" mark, achieving 187th place overall. This upward trend continued as Ken reached the finish line at 14061 feet. The latter splits, while slower pace-wise, illustrated Ken's determination and ability to navigate challenging altitudes, as seen in the final stretch's split pace of 27:14 min/mile.
