Steady Progress and Competent Finish Jason Hayman completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:41:14 over a distance of 13.36 miles. At an age of 53, Jason maintained a solid performance, securing 49th place in his division. The course tested competitors with significant elevation, reaching 14,061 feet at the finish. Jason's elapsed pace was 21:03 per mile. Throughout the grind, Jason showed resilience. He improved notably from the overall position of 914 at the start to 781 by the finish. His performance between No Name Creek and Barr Camp displayed improved pacing in challenging segments. The climb between the last half mile and the finish required persistence, reflected in the consistent split times despite altitude adjustments. Future races could benefit from maintaining the early pace in latter stages to counter the typical fatigue experienced at higher altitudes and steeper gradients.
