Significant Improvement in Time and Pace Ross Brown completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 3:52:49, marking a noteworthy improvement from the previous year. He reduced his time by 8 minutes and 45 seconds compared to the 2024 event. This consistent performance increase also reflected in his pace, which improved from 18:04 to 17:25 minutes per mile. Ross began strong, with a 7:51-minute pace at Ruxton and a robust 9:32-minute pace at Hydro Street. As expected, pacing slowed in the final high-altitude miles, particularly post-10.29 miles at A-Frame, where paces ranged from 22:09 to 25:06 minutes per mile. Despite these challenges, his ability to maintain 234th place in his gender by the 0.5-mile mark is commendable, suggesting potential areas of focus for successive races.
