Strong Progression Through the Elevation Gain Paige Willis, 26, from Colorado Springs, executed a strategic performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent. Completing the 13.36-mile course with an impressive time of 4:59:56 hours, Paige maintained a strong overall rank of 989 out of 2049 participants. Notably, she advanced significantly from her starting position of 1712 to finish 290th among female competitors, ranking 32nd in her age division (F25-29). Throughout the race, Paige displayed a steady improvement in her positioning, particularly noteworthy during her approach to the summit. She managed to scale the steep elevation climb, finishing the last challenging leg with a split pace of 33:26 min/mile. Her fastest split pace was recorded at Ruxton (10:12 min/mile) early in the race. Reviewing the race data, there is a potential opportunity for Paige to enhance efficiency in the challenging high-altitude segments beyond Barr Camp.
