Consistent Performance with Mid-Race Improvements Noted Joshua Warren completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with a time of 3:45:52, covering 13.36 miles at an average pace of 16:54 min/mile. This year's event had 2049 participants, placing Joshua 253rd overall and 201st among males, marking a notable improvement in steadiness compared to his performance last year, where he placed 135th overall in a smaller field of 1996 runners. Joshua finished 8th in his division (O16-19), moving up from 9th in the previous year's M16-19 division. Joshua exhibited a strong start with a 7:21 min/mile pace at Ruxton within the first 0.43 miles, highlighting his quick acceleration. A notable progression can be found between the Top of W's and 7.8 Summit, maintaining a sub-16 min/mile pace while climbing elevations above 9000 feet. Encouragingly, Joshua managed to enhance his divisional placement from the "2.5 Miles To Go" marker to the finish, starting 10th and ending 8th in his division. This upward trend suggests he can further leverage high-altitude segments for competitive advantage in future races.
