Impressive Elevation Gain and Consistent Division Ranking Emily Krause tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with a strong showing. Her overall elapsed time was 3:56:37, maintaining an average pace of 17:42 per mile. Starting the race at a lower placement, Emily quickly climbed the ranks, placing 4th in the F50-54 division. She excelled in her division at the early split "Hydro Street," holding the top position at just 11:17 into the race with a split pace of 9:39 for that section. Notably, Emily managed to maintain a competitive stride amidst challenging conditions as the elevation increased. Her sustained performance led to impressive division placement through most of the race. Between "1 Mile To Go" and the "Finish," she covered the final mile with splits exceeding a 23-minute pace, yet managed to finish strong at 14,061 feet elevation.
