Steady Improvement and Consistent Strategy on Pikes Peak Joshua Klein completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 4:23:59, marking a notable improvement from his previous attempt in 2024, where he clocked in at 4:39:21. His average pace improved from 20:54 min/mile last year to 19:45 min/mile this year. The most significant progress was evident after Hydro Street, where he maintained competitive placements, finishing 33rd in the O50-54 division this year compared to 25th last year. The start was strong, as Joshua moved from the 1433rd position to 575th by Hydro Street, maintaining a steady climb in ranks. Despite difficulty in the thinning air and steeper slopes beyond Barr Camp, his placement at "1.5 Miles To Go" was a remarkable 23rd within his division, showcasing resilience during this crucial stretch. Identifying pacing techniques for the sections beyond Barr Camp to sustain this momentum would further enhance his performance in future races.
