Steady Elevation in Performance Judd Alexander completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 3:53:33, covering the 13.36 miles with an average pace of 17:28 min/mile. Starting strong, Judd improved significantly from the start placing 724th to reaching 333rd by the Ruxton split. This climb marked a gain of 51 feet in elevation and was completed at a pace of 8:16 min/mile. Fatigue and altitude were clear as Judd proceeded, slowing down during the challenging sections above 10,000 feet. Notably, the pace dropped to 24:43 min/mile in the final 0.5-mile stretch. Despite these challenges, Judd maintained a position within the 20-24 age division, finishing 29th out of 29 participants, moving through ups and downs but showing determination in a tough environment. Future training could focus on maintaining pace during high-elevation sections to combat altitude's impact.
