Finishing the half marathon distance of 13.36 miles within 5:12:06, he maintained an overall pace of 23:21 min/mile. Notably, Alvin showed early promise, moving from 1547th position at the start to 219th place by the Ruxton section with an impressive split pace of 7:54 min/mile for the first 0.43 miles. This early surge played a key role in his strong positioning at the beginning of the race. As the elevation increased up to 14,061 feet, Alvin's pace naturally slowed, with his slowest recorded at the "A-Frame" split, clocking a pace of 29:22 min/mile.
