His average pace improved from 19:56 min/mile to 19:50 min/mile. Notably, Samuel maintained his position in his division, placing 17th both in the starting split and at the finish in the O16-19 category. Throughout the race, Samuel demonstrated strong pacing in the early stages. At the "Ruxton" split, he achieved a remarkable split pace of 9:43, and his position improved significantly, moving from the 1319th overall position at the start to 867th. The ascent remains challenging, as shown by the slower split paces in the higher altitudes, particularly after "A-Frame." Samuel can focus on strategies to maintain consistent energy levels in the final miles, where his split pace dropped to mid-20 min/mile.
