Strong Final Surge to Secure Top 10 in Age Division Michael Hunter, a 62-year-old runner from Colorado Springs, achieved an impressive performance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent. Covering a distance of 13.36 miles, Michael completed the race in 4:05:02, with an overall pace of 18:20 min/mile. Starting strong with a 9:52 min/mile pace at Ruxton, his consistent uphill effort on challenging terrain led him to finish 7th in his O60-64 division out of 68 participants. Throughout the race, Michael showed notable endurance, progressing through the field to improve his standing. He moved from 68th in his division at the start to 7th place by the end, showcasing his perseverance and tactical race strategy.
