Consistency with Improved Performance in Elevated Terrain Chase Riewestahl demonstrated consistent progress at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 3:28:29, improving from last year's 3:39:26. His average pace showed a notable improvement from 16:25 min/mile in 2024 to 15:36 min/mile this year. Starting at a strong pace of 8:04 min/mile for the initial 0.43 miles, Chase maintained positive momentum up until Barr Camp (7.91 miles) with an elapsed time of 1:39:16. Chase's pacing began to decrease at higher elevations, specifically after the A-Frame checkpoint (10.29 miles), where he recorded a split pace of 18:58 min/mile. Despite the challenging final section above the tree line, he maintained a consistent effort. Finishing in the top 10% of his age division, improving his standing from last year's 20th to 19th, Chase successfully navigated the high-altitude challenges, setting a solid benchmark for future performances.
