Consistency Through the Ascent Madelyn completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 6:13:03, covering a distance of 13.36 miles. Starting strong with an 11:54 min/mile pace at the Ruxton split, she maintained impressive placements early on, ranking 16th in her division at the start. The challenge of the climb became apparent as average paces extended, such as a 39:44 min/mile pace by the A-Frame checkpoint, where she placed 71st in her division. Throughout the race, Madelyn faced steep entangled terrain, finishing 72nd in her division. Noteworthy is her progression at the 12.31-mile mark to the finish, where her pace slightly quickened from 42:30 min/mile to 39:08 min/mile. This indicates resilience and determination to maintain effort despite the rising elevation. Strategically planning to focus on specific segments like the uphill approach to Barr Camp in future events could show promising results.
