Consistent Climb with Steady Gains Suzanne Sandrue completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent—covering 13.36 miles in 5:29:23, at an average pace of 24:39 min/mile. Notable momentum was seen early on at Ruxton, with a split pace of 10:41 in the first 0.43 miles. Her performance at "7.8 Summit" split demonstrated persistence with a steady pace of 19:19 after nearly 6 miles. Despite the slowing trend attributable to high altitude and rugged terrain, Suzanne maintained focus as demonstrated at "1 Mile To Go", where she balanced recovery with perseverance, clocking a split pace of 35:26. Ascending to the finish line at 14,061 feet, she secured 400th in the women's division and 58th in her age group (F45-49). Continued focus on pacing throughout challenging sections will enhance future performances, particularly in the final segments above the tree line. Suzanne's progression demonstrated commendable tenacity in high-altitude conditions.
