Strong Start and Strategic Pacing to the Peak Rogan Brown completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 2:51:00 over a distance of 13.36 miles. He maintained a strong early pace, clocking a 6:28 min/mile to Ruxton, securing a solid initial position of 13th in his division. Throughout the race, Rogan demonstrated strategic pacing, with his splits at No Name Creek and Barr Camp averaging 11:28 min/mile and 10:25 min/mile, respectively. In the race's later stages, specifically from "1 Mile To Go" to the finish, Rogan's pace ranged from 17:44 to 19:31 min/mile. Over the final three miles above the tree line, his consistency helped him secure 6th in his division and 31st overall out of 2049 participants. Rhythmic pacing and tactical control in higher altitudes were key strengths. Future focus could be on strengthening performance on high-altitude ascents to further close the gap with earlier split times.
