Strong Middle Performance with Strategic Consistency Toward the Finish Timothy Sullivan completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an official time of 4:42:58, covering the 13.36-mile course at an average pace of 21:10 min/mile. Starting strong at Ruxton with a pace of 10:03 min/mile, he showed improved performance at Hydro Street, jumping to 619th place overall. As he reached the higher elevations, his pace naturally decreased, marked by a notable split pace of 26:52 min/mile at "2.5 Miles To Go", and settling in at 35:34 min/mile by the finish. Timothy maintained a consistent position throughout the climb, especially from No Name Creek to Barr Camp where the pace ranged between 15:46 and 17:02 min/mile. Although the high-altitude splits demonstrated some slowdown, which is typical, slight increases in pace could be targeted, particularly in the final miles from the one-mile mark to the finish, where paces were above 32:00 min/mile. Emphasizing endurance in future high-altitude training may prove beneficial.
