Impressive Improvement in Tough Conditions Gregory Piepmeyer demonstrated notable progress in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. Finishing with an elapsed time of 4:16:41 and an average pace of 19:12 min/mile, he significantly improved from his previous participation. In 2024, his time was 4:33:41, with a pace of 20:29 min/mile. This year, Gregory placed 519th overall out of 2,049 participants, and 43rd in his division (O45-49), marking a remarkable leap from placing 624th overall the previous year. Starting strong, Gregory was initially in 82nd place overall at Ruxton with a 9:10 min/mile pace. While the challenging altitude and terrain of Pike Peak naturally led to a slowdown, he maintained a positive attitude throughout. Notably, from "2 Miles To Go" to "1.5 Miles To Go", Gregory temporarily moved up in position, proving his ability to regain momentum at critical moments. Maintaining consistent training to support these strides could further enhance his future race performances.
