Strong Start, Consistent Climb, Impressive Finish Rachel Mow delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon, completing the challenging course in an impressive 3:13:48. Covering 13.36 miles with an average pace of 14:30 min/mile, Rachel finished 93rd overall out of 2049 participants, shining particularly in the Female 30-34 division with a commendable 2nd place finish. Starting aggressively, she advanced swiftly from 73rd to 10th among females in the first 0.43 miles at Ruxton, clocking an impressive 6:39 min/mile split. Rachel's consistency continued throughout the ascent, particularly notable at the "Top of W's" with a pace of 12:30 min/mile over 1.97 miles. As terrain and altitude demanded more, her pace adjusted strategically. Her ascent from "1.5 Miles To Go" to "Finish" was steady despite the 14000-foot elevation challenge. Although her pace decreased slightly in the final miles, maintaining a low split variance throughout the race suggests resilience and steady pacing under high-altitude pressure.
