Consistent Progression Demonstrated on a Grueling Incline Dan Sanchez completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an overall time of 5:11:08, covering 13.36 miles. He maintained an average pace of 23:17 minutes per mile. His rank was 1084 out of 2049 participants, placing 758th in the Open Gender category and 102nd in the O40-44 division. Throughout the ascent, Dan displayed remarkable pace control, starting strong with a split of 9:06 min/mile at Ruxton and adapting well as the elevation increased. Dan showed impressive adaptation as he reached higher elevations. Notably, from "2 Miles To Go" at 12,689 feet, he made strong advancements in placement, ranking 94th in his division by the "1 Mile To Go" split. Although the final three miles were challenging, with the pace slowing to 40:19 min/mile at the finish, he demonstrated persistence.
